How it works
Phone and Pay - its as simple as that. No more fumbling for small change, you just make a quick call on the mobile, quote the zone reference on the parking machine, state the duration of your stay and pay on account by credit card. Job done, in under a minute.
You can pay for parking using your mobile and a credit card at any parking facility where you see the Phone and Pay symbol. You'll find it on boards and on the parking meter or ticket machine. Ring the local number displayed and follow the spoken instructions.
You simply log in the zone code shown, choose the duration of your stay, give your car registration and card details and, once you’ve received confirmation, that’s about it. You’ve successfully parked the Phone and Pay way. No ticket needed, no bother with loose change. Customers who have paid by phone will NOT need to display any ticket. Calls are charged at local rates, and often included in monthly minutes. Users of this service will pay a 20p transaction charge: Optional text services are charged at 10p per text.
First time registration will take about 90 seconds, after that, you should do it in less than a minute, because all your registration and card details will be already be logged on our system.
Meanwhile, at the other end, as soon as you’ve made the call to Phone and Pay, things are starting to happen. Your car registration, details of payment and length of stay are instantly sent electronically to the computerised handsets of local Enforcement Officers. They can see all details at-a-glance on their handset. In no time at all, you’ll receive text confirmation of your parking stay.
Running late? No problem. If you need more time, call or text Phone and Pay and extend your parking stay. Better still you can pre-book your parking leisurely the day before — it’s even easier.
