The Phone and Pay service has many immediate benefits:

Added Convenience – pay on the go, pay in advance and extend parking when away from your vehicle. Also gain access to all your parking information online, as well as manage your account and download all parking session information. Users can even download VAT receipts for extra ease.

If you are in a hurry, for example rushing for a train or a meeting, no need to find the change, go to the Pay and Display machine, put in the money, wait for ticket to be printed, return to your car, make sure it is in a position the Enforcement officer can see it, and finally leave the parking location. Simply walk and call.

Out of change? If you have no change, no longer will you need to awkwardly ask someone for change, or go into a shop to buy a 1 penny sweet with a £10 note.

Security - With information on the length of time the driver plans to be away from the vehicle held remotely on a secure database rather than displayed in the car window, drivers should feel safer from crime.

Environmental concerns - Litter is reduced to zero, and no-one will have to drive round and collect your cash from the Pay and Display machine, so less of a carbon footprint all round.

Phone and Pay Phone and Pay will not let motorists pay to park when payment is not due. Many motorists have been caught out by paying for parking at times when no payment is due. Our service does not allow you to pay more than you need.

Motorists receive an SMS confirming where they have parked and the duration of their stay – a useful “aide memoir” for many. Motorists can also opt to receive an SMS reminder.
